Walking on Sunshine (or clouds, or fog....)

We climbed Spencer's Butte this weekend in search of some sunshine.  It was VERY foggy, all weekend long.  Compared to most people, the fog doesn't bother me all that much.  Reminds me of college in Tacoma (UPS).  However, we were all in need of a little exercise and vitamin D.  Jake, Jay, Peter and I trekked up to the top and found the sun (as well as the blanket covering Eugene).  Check it out.
Parking lot (it felt 20deg cooler in the parking lot than it did on the summit)

Sunshine!

Our hike inspired us to play outside more, despite the cold and mud.  Peter was in heaven swinging, going down the slide and playing in the rocks again.  He threw a huge tantrum when I took him inside for dinner.

I missed you Lightning McQueen!

LOVES the rocks.  At least he isn't constantly putting them in his mouth (although he did try a few times)

Fun with Friends & Fam

We got to spend lots of time with our family and friends this past month.  We are starting to recover and made it through the withdrawal of Aunt Linds leaving to go back to Oklahoma.  It was really fun having her home.  Aunt Karin is coming home next week and we are so excited!  Here are some random pics from the last few weeks.

Kid tested, mother approved.  Cookies are on their way John!

Giving daddy tips on building a fire (from behind the gate)

Loving his new art easel - in reality he mostly likes to take the crayons out of the bag, and then put them back in.  Haven't done much coloring yet.

Walking up a storm!

Snow-what?

Where's the snow?  We went up to the Cabin after the holidays and had a blast, but it felt like Spring time.  Crazy weather.  Here are some photos from our time at Crescent Lake.

Holly holly holidays

Way over due, but better late than never.  Truly?  Our computer ran out of space for our photos so I wasn't able to download them for awhile.  And now I'm a little overwhelmed to play catch up.  Here goes!

Baking holiday spritz cookies with mama.  It just warmed my heart as he reached out for the cookie dough.  I knew he would love baking!
Love this photo.  He survived his second hair cut.

Hanukkah was really early this year piggy backing Thanksgiving.  (photos in last post).  We celebrated Christmas up in Tacoma with great grandma Millie and then back at Crescent Lake with the Cliftons, Temes', Linds and Josh.

Couldn't quite get a photo with everyone looking, but I think we are all kind of laughing here.

A rambling man!  He started walking (more than 2 steps) on Christmas day.  He's taking off!
