Daddy's Day

Jake had a birthday yesterday!  We celebrated by visiting some friends in Portland and then heading home for a great dinner (Pam's carrot cake included) at Potter Street.  I've included some other great photos from the last month below.

Peter LOVES the park, even the park in our own backyard

Cabin Skiing Adventure

Walking in to the cabin with Daddy

First time on skis!

He is pseudo laughing, pseudo crying right here.  Needless to say this was mostly for Jake and I, and only lasted about 30 seconds.  Thanks for humoring us Pete!

Crazytown - 19 months

Here are some photos from the last month.  He is talking a lot more (most of it is only legible by his parents and grandparents).  Here are some of his favorite words: uh-oh, No-no, mine, nih-nih, pease, moh, chex, bb's (blueberries), cheese.  He is practically running now and would prefer to be outside at all times. He is going to bed a lot easier (knock on wood) and mostly sleeps through the night, about 10hrs.
Look out Tom Cruise

Love this old retro table from great grandma Millie's house

My favorite picture (thanks for capturing it grandpa Jay)

Spring Walks

These are some photos from early March while playing outside.  We've had some great sunny days!

What is that bright thing up in the sky?

These first photos are from a walk with our friend Abby and her twin girls Lila and Pia.  Before this photo, little Pia ran down our steep little driveway, stopping just before the street, only to face plant right in the puddle by the curb.  She is one tough cookie.
Follow me girls!  (they were collecting pine cones along the way)

Checking out the neighbor's yard - they have chickens and bunny rabbits

Peter has been a big help in our garden.  More help than I!  I desperately need to weed if I'm going to plant tomatoes again.  Peter loves being outside and playing in the dirt, as well as mimicking whatever we are doing.

And after weeding?  How do we get the dirt out from under his nails?  Grandpa Jay helped us put together our new "stool on steroids" so that Peter can "wash his hands" (aka play in the sink for a 1/2hr).  We love it.

A few days later, Peter surprised us all and learned to drive.  Here he is checking both ways before he crosses (don't worry, he didn't actually cross).  His engine (grandma Kathy) kept him going strong all the way to Safeway so they could buy milk (and then strapped it on to the back of the car).

Check out the milk strapped on the back.  Hey, it's a smart car and has limited storage capacity, you know?
