OKC or bust

For memorial day weekend we flew with Peter to Oklahoma City to visit Aunt Linds and Uncle John (or "John and "Ant- ih" as Peter says).  We had a blast and John even gave us a tour of the plane he is training new pilots on (he's a pilot instructor for the Air Force).  Flying out there and back was an adventure in itself.  Peter was a rockstar on the plane, but it's just plain hard going through security and making sure you keep track of all that "stuff" when you fly with a 20mo old.  Phew!

"Payne!" - starting out early at the EUG airport

We found the playground at SFO airport - here Peter is playing in the "tornado" mist

Peter fell asleep while we were walking through the airport (under the cover in the front carrier), however after I attempted to go to the bathroom one last time before boarding the plane he woke up - go figure.  Thankfully he took a nap later on the long flight (3hrs turned 6hr flight thanks to OKC thundershowers - ugh)

Playing in the car with bubbles

Aunt Linds ('ant -ih'), can I drive your mini too?

"Neeeeer, neeeeer" - playing with planes in the flight instruction room

Sportin the Air Force flight suit, just like Uncle John

Cheers!  What a great trip.  Thanks Uncle John and Ant -ih!

Mama's and Papa's Day

I had a great mother's day and I hope Jake had a good one too (I was sadly out of town for most of it at a PT class - so Jake truly got a lot of 1:1 time with Peter).  Here are some pictures from our two great days.
Bird-feeder that Peter (and Pam) made for me out of cheerios and pipe cleaners
